Ola’s
Olives came about because of a couple of things: one, we loved olives,
and two, we liked the idea of a downtown community market.
For several years Bill and I were involved in activities to
promote
downtown
St. Petersburg so participating in the Saturday
Morning Market was
a natural.

Saturday Morning Market on Central Avenue in Downtown St.
Petersburg. |
 |
| Soon we were researching
olive recipes and testing them on neighbors, family and friends.
We got such positive feedback we decided to go for a wider audience.
And besides, we were having fun and enjoyed eating all those delicious
olives in our refrigerator. |

Hmmm...
what’s that little green one? |

|
| Bill
used his professional graphic
design skills to create our distinctive
black and white logo with its little stuffed green olive, and
since I like red, we have lots of that, too. Bill produces our
market signage and various promotional materials.
A neighbor gave us our green market umbrella, which helps create our distinctive
look at the market. |

| One of our sellouts,
Garlic Romano Olives |
 |
| |
Our goal is to provide
a little taste of the Mediterranean in the form of the humble
olive - well, not so humble since we add herbs, garlic, spices, citrus
juices.
Come on down and taste some. |
